Attributed to the skilled cartographer Lê Thái Bình and bearing the hallmark of its publication year, 1966, this map transcends mere geography. It stands as a priceless historical relic, inviting us to peer into Saigon during a tumultuous epoch when the city served as a critical theater of conflict in the Vietnam War.

Within its cartographic canvas, the map unveils the indelible traces of war etched upon the city's streets. Many thoroughfares bear sobering designations like "under artillery fire" or "mined area," serving as poignant reminders of the unceasing impact of warfare on civilian life. Notably, it elucidates the strategic presence of military installations and checkpoints, symbolizing the intricate interplay between everyday urban existence and the exigencies of wartime.

The Vietnamese City Map serves as an enduring testament to the intricate and tumultuous backdrop against which Saigon unfolded during the Vietnam War.
