"A New Map of Hindoostan, From the Latest Authorities" is a historical map that was published in 1806 by John Cary, a prominent English cartographer and mapmaker. This map depicts the region of Hindoostan, which refers to the Indian subcontinent, including present-day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and parts of Nepal and Bhutan.

During the early 19th century, the British East India Company was expanding its control over various regions in India, and this map would have been of significant interest to those involved in colonial administration, trade, and exploration. It provided valuable geographical information based on the latest available data at the time.

His county maps became the standard reference, known for their reliability and precision. Cary's atlases were instrumental in shaping the way people perceived and navigated their own country, and they played a significant role in the standardization of map formats.
