"The Reservoir, Horta de Ebro" is a painting by Pablo Picasso that was created in 1909. The painting depicts a landscape scene of the village of Horta de Ebro, located in northeastern Spain. In the foreground of the painting, a reservoir or water tank is visible, with the surrounding hills and buildings of the village visible in the background.

The painting is done in Picasso's early Cubist style, which he developed during his stay in Horta de Ebro that same year. The painting features fragmented and geometric forms, with a focus on capturing the various planes and angles of the landscape.

The color palette of the painting is dominated by shades of blue, green, and brown, which create a sense of serenity and harmony with the natural environment. The painting is a reflection of Picasso's interest in capturing the essence of the Spanish countryside and its unique beauty.

"The Reservoir, Horta de Ebro" is considered to be a significant work in the development of Cubism, as it marks a departure from the more traditional styles of painting that dominated the art world at the time. Through his innovative use of form and color, Picasso was able to capture the essence of the landscape in a way that was both visually striking and emotionally evocative.

Overall, "The Reservoir, Horta de Ebro" is a beautiful and timeless work of art that showcases Picasso's incredible talent and innovative approach to painting.
