The captivating Pictorial Map of Lebanon, meticulously crafted by the talented artist Paul Koroleff, stands as an exquisite testament to Lebanon's allure, with its origins tracing back to the vibrant year of 1955. This map, a harmonious fusion of two languages, English and Arabic, graced by a French title and an eloquent zodiac calendar, portrays Lebanon's myriad charms.

Drenched in hues as vibrant as the country it portrays, the map weaves a vivid tapestry of Lebanon's attractions, solidifying its position as a prominent tourist hotspot during the mid-20th century. It adorns itself with a visual splendor of icons, each a beckoning call to explore Lebanon's treasures, rendering it an alluring gateway to this enchanting nation. The map elegantly traces the thoroughfares and railways that traverse Lebanon's picturesque landscapes, with a bilingual legend guiding the curious in both Arabic and English.

Among the highlights etched upon this cartographic gem are the venerable remnants of civilizations past, showcased through the ancient ruins of Baalbek, Tyre, and Byblos. The esteemed Cedars of Lebanon, bestowed the prestigious title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, find their place on this map. Luring sun-seekers, the pristine beaches of Jounieh and Tripoli grace the map, as do the beckoning slopes of Faraya and Zaarour, promising the thrill of skiing. The bustling cities of Beirut, Tripoli, and Sidon stand proudly, inviting exploration and discovery.

To enrich our understanding, it's worth noting that the map bears the creative touch of Paul Koroleff, a maestro hailing from Russian-Lebanese heritage, renowned for his prowess in graphic design and illustration. Its publication is credited to the esteemed Paul Khalil Aouad, a Lebanese luminary specializing in travel and tourism publications, bestowing upon this map an air of authority and authenticity.

In summation, the Pictorial Map of Lebanon, a product of the artistic brilliance of Paul Koroleff, is a testament to the nation's allure, a treasure trove of information, a piece of collectible art, and a testament to the publisher's dedication to showcasing Lebanon's splendor to the world.
