Frederick de Wit (also spelled Frederik de Wit) was a renowned Dutch cartographer and publisher who lived during the 17th century. He was born in 1630 in Gouda, Netherlands, and died in 1706 in Amsterdam. De Wit was a prominent figure in the Dutch Golden Age of cartography, a period when the Netherlands played a leading role in mapmaking and exploration.

De Wit's career as a cartographer began around the mid-17th century, and he quickly gained a reputation for his high-quality maps, atlases, and sea charts.
