Tobias Conrad Lotter was indeed a prominent German mapmaker of the 18th century. While I don't have access to a specific map by Lotter from 1775 in my training data, I can provide you with some general information about his maps and style during that period.

Lotter's maps were known for their high level of detail, accuracy, and artistic embellishments. He often incorporated decorative elements, such as intricate cartouches, ornate borders, and illustrations of mythological figures or important landmarks. Lotter's maps were popular for their aesthetic appeal as well as their cartographic value.

In the context of a "Map of the Whole World" by Lotter in 1775, it would likely depict the continents, oceans, major countries, and important geographical features known at that time. The map might include information gathered from explorations, scientific expeditions, and geographical surveys of the era. It would reflect the prevailing knowledge and understanding of the world in the late 18th century.

Tobias Conrad Lotter (1717-1777) was a renowned German engraver, publisher, and cartographer. He hailed from a family of mapmakers and took over his father-in-law's publishing business, which specialized in maps and atlases. Lotter worked in Augsburg, Germany, and was active during the 18th century.

Lotter was known for producing high-quality maps and atlases, many of which were richly decorated and embellished. He collaborated with other prominent cartographers of his time, such as Matthäus Seutter and Johann Baptista Homann. Lotter's maps often featured detailed engravings, decorative cartouches, elaborate borders, and vibrant hand coloring.

His maps covered various regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Lotter's works were highly regarded for their accuracy, as he incorporated the latest geographical information available at the time. He frequently updated and revised his maps to reflect new discoveries and advancements in cartography.
