"The Hat Pin" or "Le Chapeau Epingle" is a drawing created by the French Impressionist artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1894. The drawing depicts a young woman wearing a hat with a long hatpin, which she appears to be adjusting.

The drawing is executed in Renoir's characteristic loose and expressive style, with quick and fluid lines that suggest movement and vitality. Renoir was a master of capturing the human figure, and this drawing is no exception, with its careful attention to the details of the woman's clothing and accessories.

The subject of the drawing is typical of Renoir's interest in the fashions and styles of his time, as well as his fascination with the female form. The hat and hatpin were popular accessories during the late 19th century, and Renoir captures their elegance and sophistication in his drawing.

Overall, "The Hat Pin" is a beautiful example of Renoir's skill as a draughtsman, with its lively and fluid lines and its sensitivity to the human figure. It is also a testament to his interest in the fashion and style of his time and his ability to capture the beauty and elegance of everyday objects.
